If you’ve never read Paul E. Cooley before, this is a great starter for you! It’s a short novelette that showcases what Paul does best, take an everyday guy with an everyday job, then take him on a left turn into weird.

Normally, I don’t give 5 star reviews, particularly for psychological horror. That looms large in my wheelhouse. I cut my teeth on Poe and Lovecraft, after all.
