Live! At Patreon!

wa_icon_large.png
Like the title says, we’re live at Patreon!

This is a brand new direction me. I’ve been working on it for some time and the excitement is nerve wracking. This is mostly because the success or failure is completely dependent on me. But, then again, it always was.

I bring you tidings…

Foothold… the comfort and joy you get from this is entirely up to you.

It’s been a while since I’ve updated this blog. That happens from time to time as I think I’m getting busy. It’s cyclical.

Anywho, a lot has changed since April. Project Blackford blossomed into Foothold (clicky the picture <– for more awesomeness & to buy direct).

The free audio version is here. I do characterizations, and you’ll hear what the voices in my head sound like. I know, but listen anyway. Matter-of-fact, get the ebook and listen along while you read. Also available at Amazon & Smashwords.

Check this space for changes in the coming hours & days! Next year is going to be a doozy!

Project Blackford and Tales from the Archives

Way back in October I introduced Project Blackford, my super secret foray into the shared universe of some well known, well respected, and award winning authors. Much to my astonishment, I found I wanted to keep most of the information to myself.

My self esteem is just a bit more fragile than I realized.  I didn’t want to announce what I was doing for fear of failure, I mean, what if they didn’t like it? What if I made a big deal about writing a story for them and it just didn’t make the final cut?

Why don’t I stop whining and build some excitement instead?

Reblog: Writing Resolutely

350x313I need a nap! Don’t get me wrong, I love the New Year. It’s full of possibilities. Like the possibility that I’ll get my novel finished this year, or that I’ll drop the fifteen pounds I’ve put on since Thanksgiving.

The fourth quarter is tough, isn’t it. At my house, holiday celebrations are a priority, and that means food, Food, FOOD! And, of course, there’s the kids. We watched an infant for some friends of ours over the holiday break. I walked the little darling until she fell asleep, then I sat down for a moment. Just to rest my eyes. My minions seized the opportunity, struck, and snapped this picture.

Project Blackford Update

The First Men In The Moon by Dario Coelho
Here’s a quick update, I’ll have more when I have more. About a month ago, I teased a secret project and I haven’t said a lot about it since. It’s time I remedy that.

It’s on.

Between day job demands, children setting up shop in the ER, colds, procrastinations, and well, just life in general, I haven’t done a lot with it. The opportunity is just too good to pass up, and I will kick myself it I miss on it. I would really like to tell you about it, but mum’s the word until I hear back from the principals.

This year, NaNoWriMo has gone the way of the wild goose on a bender. My word count is dreck, so I’m free to concentrate on Blackford!

And Friday, there’s Dirty Magick: Los Angeles. I’m all a tingle!
